Chance Of Storms This Evening

SMALL STORM CHANCE THIS EVENING…

A cold front will slide thru the area later on this evening and could produce a few isolated showers and thunderstorms.  From 5pm thru 7pm most of the storms will be along the Red River and the northern row of counties in North Texas.  After 7pm, the storms could build south enough to reach into parts of Denton, Collin and even Tarrant and Dallas County.  Then the line of storms will move east of Dallas after 10pm.  The main upper level system is staying well north of Texas so the worst of the storms will stay in Oklahoma and Kansas.  I can't rule out a strong, or even isolated severe storm in North Texas, but the severity of these storms does not look to be too high.

WINDY WEATHER REPLACED BY WARMER WEATHER…

Thru part of the day, North Texas was under a wind advisory.  That has been cancelled, but it will remain windy thru the evening as our cold front moves thru.  There isn't a lot of cold air behind this cold front so temperatures will remain mild tomorrow and even warm up on Wednesday and Thursday.
