Busch Wins Again at Texas

Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Kyle Busch passed Todd Bodine for the lead on a late-race restart and then held off Johnny Sauter at the finish to win the WinStar World Casino 350K Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway for the second year in a row.

Busch, in his first year as driver and owner in the Truck Series, claimed his seventh victory in 14 starts this season. He now has 22 victories combined in NASCAR's three national touring series in 2010.

"I got a good jump on that last restart there," said Busch, who led 80 of 147 laps. "I ended up being alongside of Bodine into turn one. I don't know if my lane had a better draft or what, but we pulled ahead on the backstretch and held on to it."

Busch is on the brink of capturing this year's owner's championship in the series, as his No.18 team holds a 72-point lead over Bodine's No.30 team with just two races to go.

"It's fun to be able to have the success that we've had, and hopefully we can continue to get some more for next year," Busch added.

Busch's win also clinched the manufacturers' championship for Toyota.

Sauter rebounded from running out of fuel with 55 laps remaining to finish second. Sauter appeared to have the dominant truck before his mishap occurred.

"We just make mistakes a lot of times, I guess," Sauter said. "When you're that close and you feel like you've got the dominant truck and you can't get it done, it's disappointing."

Matt Crafton finished third. Crafton qualified on the pole, but had to start from the rear of the field due to unapproved work on his truck prior to the start of the race.

Bodine took the fourth spot and moved closer to claiming his second championship in the series. Bodine, whose first title came in 2006, holds a 230-point lead over Aric Almirola, who finished seventh.

If Bodine finishes fourth or better next weekend at Phoenix, he will win the championship, regardless of Almirola's performance.

Sprint Cup Series regular Elliott Sadler finished fifth, driving the No.2 truck for Kevin Harvick Inc.

Earlier in the day, KHI announced that Sadler had signed a multi-year agreement to drive a second full-time entry for the racing organization in the Nationwide Series, beginning in 2011. He also will run a limited truck schedule for the team.

Sadler also won the pole for Sunday's 500-mile Sprint Cup race.

James Buescher finished sixth, while Mike Skinner, Parker Kligerman and Ricky Carmichael completed the top-10.

Ron Hornaday Jr., the four-time and defending series champion, was involved in a multi-truck wreck early in the race and wound up finishing 32nd. Hornaday and Tayler Malsam made contact and hit the wall.

Last week at Talladega, Hornaday was involved in a six-truck accident in the closing laps. His truck flipped upside down and skidded along the track before it rolled over several times and came to a rest on its roof.
