Follow KRLD: Facebook | Twitter

The strongest cold front so far this Fall will arrive across north Texas Saturday afternoon.

After highs in the 70s on Friday and Saturday, temperatures will plummet into the 30s by evening as winds gust to 35mph from the north.

There is also a very slight chance of light snow, especially just to the north of the Metroplex. No major travel impacts are expected at this time.

By Sunday morning, the mercury will level off in the upper teens to low 20s, with wind chills in the single digits in many locations.

A chilly sunshine filled day will dominate your Sunday as temperatures struggle to reach the freezing mark. Wind chills will be in the teens most of the day.

A slow warm up begins next week. Temperatures will be back into the 50s by Wednesday.
