Mosaic covered tables and chairs line the sidewalk in front of Campania. Pizza there has a thin, slightly crisp crust. The Sorrento adds potatoes, mushrooms, sausage, fresh basil, and olive oil. The Quattro Stagione is also a pleaser with artichoke hearts, salami, ham, mushrooms, fresh basil and olive oil. For dessert, Pizza alla Nutella is a must. The brick-walled New York style restaurants spring from the original location under the Brooklyn Bridge, which claims to be the first pizzeria in the country in 1905. This Uptown favorite, across from the Rosewood Crescent Hotel, recently expanded to more than twice its original size. Hence the name, Coal Vines does two things well, pizza and wine. Under the sign for Campisi's Egyptian Lounge is the entrance that leads you into a dark, old-fashioned Italian restaurant with red booths lining the walls. At any location you must start the meal with Italian Style Crab Claws. (They come swimming in butter, but are sweet and delicious.) The dinner salads are nothing to brag about, but the pizza is great if toppings are limited and don't overload the thin, chewy crust.
