Best Family-Friendly Easter Events In DFW

Easter is always a fun time for families as the children get to head out for Easter egg hunts, families can dress up for a day at Sunday church services, and then there are dinners and games at numerous events. The DFW area is no different, as there are many events that take place around the entire area for families to celebrate Easter. Here is a look at some of the best family-friendly Easter events in the DFW area.

This takes place at the Heritage Senior Center in the field just south of that center. The Easter egg hunt itself will include the search for thousands of eggs and is open to kids 10 and under. There will also be bounce houses, a petting zoo, and some craft activities. There will also be music and food and the Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo ops with the kids. The best part is that everything is free. This takes place from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m..

This is the church's third annual Easter event. The event is actually big enough to cover two weekends. The first is on March 20, where there will be free skating at Texas Skatium and then on Easter Sunday, March 27, there will be the Sunday worship service followed by an Easter egg hunt with bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, and games for the kids. The event is completely free, but families are asked to register in advance.

www.cityoflewisville.comDate: March 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.The City of Lewisville is presenting their 29th annual Funny Bunny Festival, which takes place on May 19 and will last from 9:30 until 12:30 p.m. This event is completely free and includes carnival games, a petting zoo, photos with the Mr. and Mrs. Funny Bunny, and lots of tables where kids can fill up their Easter baskets. There are also three different Easter egg hunts for kids 13 and under at 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and noon. There is also food and beverages sold at the event.

This will not only include a Texas-Sized hunt, but also will have face painting, balloon animals, Easter Bunny photos, and more, all for free. This kicks off at noon on Saturday, March 26, and the Easter egg hunt is for kids aged 12 and under. There will also be a petting zoo and at 4 p.m., there will be a Fort Worth herd cattle drive.

This is one of the biggest special needs Easter egg hunts with over 25,000 eggs hidden for the kids. There are four hunts, broken into age groups. There is even one for the adults at 3:30. Siblings of the children can also hunt eggs with their brothers and sisters. There will also be bounce houses, games, Easter bunny photos, and much more.
