WACO (CBSDFW.COM) – A Baylor University student was killed while bicycling with his girlfriend late Thursday night.

Waco police say that 19-year-old David Grotberg was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene. Grotberg's girlfriend was not injured but she did witness the hit and run.

Witnesses told police that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the bicyclist.
