Azle High School coach arrested for improper relationship with former student, police say
A basketball and softball coach at Azle High School has been arrested for an improper relationship between an educator and a student, authorities said late Friday.
Carlos Font-Santiago, 31, was taken into custody Thursday after a complaint alleged he had engaged in inappropriate conduct with a former student, according to the Azle Police Department.
Font-Santiago was later admitted to the Tarrant County Jail, police said.
"At the time of the offense, Font-Santiago was employed at Azle High School, where he coached basketball and softball," Azle police said in a news release.
The criminal investigation is continuing.
