Arrest Made In Mesquite Home Invasion Shooting
MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas man is in a Mesquite jail after critically injuring a Mesquite mother.
Police arrested Wilson Benitez at his Dallas apartment Thursday, one day after he allegedly broke into a Mesquite home and took a mother and daughter hostage. He then shot the woman before running away.
Benitez was charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery with bond set at $100,000.
Detectives are still trying to determine a motive in the case. Mesquite Police said Thursday they know it was not a random act of violence.
