Afternoon Severe Weather Update
Scattered non-severe storms continue across North Texas. Mainly lightning and heavy rain with these storms. The outflow boundary has sagged south of DFW. That outflow boundary is important because areas south of the outflow have the greatest chance of seeing severe weather. If you live north of the boundary (dashed black line), the threat of severe weather is lower.
There is a cold front that will arrive later this evening in DFW. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible before the front get here. These could produce some small hail and gusty winds in the Metroplex. But the greater severe weather threat remains south.
