After the Flooding- More Rain Chances

Severe flooding is what greeted many people this Sunday morning. The heaviest rain fell over Johnson Co. and the Tarrant/Dallas Co. line:

Officially 1.68" of rain fell at DFW Airport, the fourth time this month we've enjoyed a 1" plus daily rain. Just a little over half-way thru May and already it's the wettest month at DFW in four years. We are 137 days into 2015 and we've almost reached the total rainfall amount of all of last year:

 

There is a chance for rain to develop overnight, most of this will be east and southeast of the Metro:

Tomorrow afternoon daytime heating will fire up storms again across north Texas. Coverage looks modest, around 20% - 30%. Heavier amounts are likely south:

The weather pattern continues this coming week, rain chances stick around thru next weekend. Total rainfall amounts across Texas will be 2"-4":

Highs will stay in the upper 70's and low 80's. Storm chances show up every day:
