the old saying I'd true..."I'd rather be lucky than good"..that ancient adage is certified platinum for Jerry's merry men...squeaking by the tampa bucs was much harder than anticipated...16-10..sounds like a volleyball set score..but it was a win...in the parity driven nfl these days...you take all victories as though they were a playoff triumph..but even in an ugly win...you venture to the win column...but...but...BUT...if jerry and jason's gridiron gang want to take the next step...things must get a whole lot better...and it all begins with the offensive line...in a word: puke...in two words: puke vomit...this unit is horrendous..already a match-work bunch cuz of injuries..they are terribly mediocre...blown assignments..mistakes..penalties..and the worst..just getting their ass beat..let's survey left to right...tyron smith is struggling with speed rushers..nate livings gets manhandled..ryan cook is new and over his head..mackenzy bernadeau is proving to be a mediocre back-up at best...and doug free had one good year..got paid..then slipped into an on-the-job-early-retirement..this line blows like a veteran sax player...and as long as this continues..the offensive will be stuck in mud..to execute jason's timing offense...the qb has to have..well...he's gotta have time..and right now romo is facing an all out blitzkrieg assault on every play..rare is the fact he can set up and deliver the ball..he is constantly moving around..throwing on run..improvising..and trying to escape with his head intact..that's just the passing aspect..the running game is sewer nasty too..in a season of much optimism and hope..the state of this pitiful offensive line is the balancing scales...and right now..the measuring device is red-lining extreme south...get it fixed..and there's a chance...if it doesn't improve..the cowboys will add yet another year of super bowl drought..which is already the longest in the teams 52 year history...and to quote the great bob dylan..."you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"...
