A Little August in October

Shouldn't be this way. Mid-90's in mid-October?

You have to go back 24 YEARS to find a day this hot this late in October:

It'll be breezy and with our very dry conditions we worry about grass fires this afternoon. Please limit outdoor burning:

Big sports day in the Metro. Going to be lots of cars in and out of Arlington:

We actually have a cold front coming in tomorrow. It'll arrive in the afternoon in the Metroplex and turn a brisk southwest wind into an even strong northwest wind. Temperatures will climb right back into the mid-90's right before the front arrives:

Later in the day the front could produce some thunderstorms down to the southeast of the Metroplex:

The front will cool us down for about a day (highs will still be above normal for time of year). As soon as the winds turn back to the south we'll be right back into the 90's. Another front shows up just as we get into next weekend:
