A Few Storms Possible
Storm chances continue across our Memorial Day weekend, at least for today.
The best chance of rain is in the morning hours for the metro area. I expect a little more sunshine than we had yesterday but the humidity and south winds continue. Highs should reach into the mid-80's in Fort Worth but be much cooler in the east where rain and clouds will be more prevalent. The storms chances concentrate along the eastern counties:
FutureSky Forecast shows how the storms chances shift east as the day wears on:
We are not expecting severe weather but the storms could easily produce strong winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning. Again, you can see the cooler weather in the eastern half:
MEMORIAL DAY LOOKING DRY
We should have ample sunshine on Monday. It'll be hot and humid with gusty south winds. Highs should reach easily in the mid to upper 80's:
The extended forecast doesn't include much in rain chances. We put in a slight risk for Thursday but 30% coverage is looking generous. It'll stay warm and humid, highs will stay in the 80's with breezy conditions.
