8 dogs die in camper fire in Dallas, officials say
Officials are investigating a camper fire that left eight dogs dead in Dallas on Thursday.
Dallas Fire-Rescue crews responded to the 1700 block of Smoke Tree Lane just before 10:30 a.m. and quickly put out the fire.
Officials say the location of the fire was a homeless encampment. At least 8 dogs inside the camper died.
It's not clear if the woman who occupied the camper was there when the fire began, but she was later accounted for uninjured.
