The governor was tested in advance of plans to greet President Trump at the airport.
He also discussed mail-in voting, criticizing Nevada, which has a governor who is a Democrat, and praising Florida and Arizona, which both have GOP governors.
The deadly explosion rocked Lebanon on Tuesday. The Lebanese government hasn't yet described it as such.
Florida is a key battleground state that the president won in 2016 but where he's trailing in the polls.
The president continues to to tout his administration's actions, a day after one of his top health advisers warned the outbreak "is extraordinarily widespread."
"If you betray American workers, then you will hear two simple words: 'You're fired,'" the president said.
"We're banning them from the United States," the president said.
The 87-year-old associate justice underwent a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure earlier this week.
The president has frequently touted the administration's ability to procure ventilators to fight COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Senate adjourned Thursday, with Republicans and Democrats far from a deal on unemployment benefits.
The announcement comes after Representative Louie Gohmert tested positive for the coronavirus after frequently forgoing wearing a mask on Capitol Hill.
