President Trump's firing of Defense Secretary Mark Esper by tweet was just the beginning.
"I don't see a need for legal action, quite frankly," the president-elect said.
He promised a "smooth transition" — to a second Trump administration — and then then went on to say a successful transition would take place.
Carson is the second senior official who attended the election night party at the White House to contract the virus.
