Liz Christy

Now based in Woodbury, Liz graduated from William Penn University in 2017 with a degree in digital communications (emphasis in journalism) and a major in sociology. She started her journalism career in Des Moines, where she produced a two-hour morning show called "Good Morning Iowa." At WCCO, Liz is a part of the 24-hour stream team on CBS News Minnesota. She also edits and produces the weekly "Talking Points with Esme Murphy," airing at Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on CBS News Minnesota. In 2023, Liz was recognized as a 2023 New Alumni Accomplishment with Character Award recipient from William Penn University. She is a two-time Upper Midwest Regional Emmy-nominated producer.
