Newark principal on Oprah's $500K donation

Oprah Winfrey was so inspired by a CBS News story on a high school principal changing his students’ lives, she decided to help in a big way. New Jersey principal Akbar Cook started the Lights On program in Newark to give students somewhere safe to hang out on Friday nights. Last Friday, Oprah showed up with a half million dollar donation and pizza. David Begnaud reports on the surprise. Principal Cook also joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss what he plans to do with Oprah's donation.

Sarfraz Manzoor on "Blinded by the Light"

Sarfraz Manzoor fell in love with the music of Bruce Springsteen while growing up in working-class England. His story is the basis for the new movie "Blinded by the Light," which will be in theaters nationwide this weekend. “CBS This Morning” co-host Anthony Mason met up with Manzoor at the place that helped launch Springsteen's career, The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, to discuss the Boss’ influence on his life – and what it was like to meet him face-to-face.

NJ cops reunite homeless man with family

A homeless man was reunited with his family after almost a quarter century, thanks to the kindness of two New Jersey police officers. Video shows 61-year-old Jose Lopez tearfully hugging his daughters and grandchildren last week. He lost touch with his family after he moved to Florida, suffered several strokes and ended up homeless. Determined to find them, Lopez spent all the money in his social security account to travel to New Jersey.
