Irving gave the crowd at TD Garden the middle finger and directed "profane language" toward them, according to CBS Sports and NBA officials.
The exemption paves the way for Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving to begin playing home games again.

Irving will be able to rejoin team activities after completing a five-day quarantine.
