California residents have been shaken by a series of shootings, including one in Monterey Park, near Los Angeles, in which 11 people were killed during Lunar New Year celebrations. CBS News correspondent Kris Van Cleave reports.
The suspected gunman in the Half Moon Bay, California, shooting that killed seven people was detained by authorities on Monday. He was taken into custody after he was spotted in his vehicle in the parking lot of a San Mateo County Sheriff's Office substation.
The only known connection between the eight victims and the suspect is that they may have been coworkers, officials said Tuesday.
