Trump seeks recount in 2 Wisconsin counties
The Trump campaign is requesting a recount in two heavily Democratic counties in Wisconsin as the president continues to push unfounded claims of voter fraud. This comes after he fired his top election security official, Christopher Krebs. Dr. Deborah Birx of the White House coronavirus task force has said the Northeast is showing signs of "asymptomatic silent spread," comparing it to the South after Memorial Day. A day after Coronavirus Task Force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said the coronavirus is now "extraordinarily widespread," President Trump contradicted her, claiming "evidence of progress." "Very encouraging," he said at a news conference Monday. "I have to add that the virus is receding."
