Oakland Novelist and Poet on becoming New York Times Bestseller

Twenty-year-old author Leila Mottley’s book 'Nightcrawling' became a New York Times Bestseller. Mottley’s book is about a young Black woman in Oakland, California - who turns to prostitution to support herself and her family. A possible film is also in the works.
