Teen Shot At San Jose McDonald's On Life Support

SAN JOSE (CBS / AP) -- Police say an 18-year-old man gunned down in a brazen lunchtime shooting Wednesday at a San Jose McDonald's restaurant is on life support.

San Jose police Officer Jose Garcia said Thursday that investigators were not revealing many details surrounding the case for safety reasons, including whether it was gang-related.

Witnesses to the shooting in the restaurant parking lot on South Bascom Ave. told The San Jose Mercury News that the victim appeared to have a head wound. The victim was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and put on life support.

Garcia said the shooter was last seen running north toward a Taco Bell.

The Wednesday attack comes after a gang-related shooting Saturday that led to the arrest of three teens.
