New Palo Alto Homes Required To Have Wiring For Electric Car Chargers
PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- The Palo Alto city council voted unanimously Tuesday to require new homes to come pre-wired for electric car charging systems.
Supporters say installing a charger into a pre-wired home is drastically cheaper than installing a system into an existing home without the wiring.
The council also backed proposals to streamline the process for getting a permit to install a charger.
