Man Found Shot Dead In South San Jose; City's 43rd Homicide Of 2020

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man was found shot dead early Wednesday morning in South San Jose.

San Jose police said officers responded at about 1 a.m. Wednesday to the 4200 block of Senter Road to a report of a person shot. Arriving officers found a male victim who had suffered at least one gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no suspects identified and the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting were still under investigation, police said.

The victim's identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after notification of family members.

It was the city's 43rd homicide of 2020. San Jose police reported 34 homicides in 2019 and 28 homicides in 2018.
