9. Wrong-Way Crash On I-80 Kills 3 People In Sacramento County

For the third time in just 20 days, a wrong-way crash claimed the lives of multiple people.

Just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, a driver in a new Ford F-150 pick-up truck without license plates was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 when it struck a Lexus head-on in the fast lane near Madison Avenue, according to a CHP statement.

Every little sign could be a precursor to the end of the drought. It's not known if it's anywhere near over just yet.

7. Stockton Child, 4, Escapes Carjacking

There's not much 4-year-old Peyton can do on his own yet, including unbuckling his own seat belt. So his mother says she's shocked and proud that he knew to act quickly and bravely to get out of the stolen car.

Peyton was in the backseat, unbuckled. The 4-year-old decided to jump out of the car.

6. Gov. Brown To Delta Tunnel Critics: 'Shut Up, Because You Don't Know What The Hell You're Talking About'

Brown said Wednesday that until critics have studied the problem for a million hours, they should "shut up, because you don't know what the hell you're talking about."

The Democratic governor says that's how long state officials have spent on the controversial proposal to divert water from the Sacramento River.

5. Detectives: Body Found In Glenn County That Of Jadianna Larsen; Suspect Arrested

Larsen, 6, had been reported missing, last seen in her apartment at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Village on 47th Avenue.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Department detectives had reason to believe Rivera murdered Jadianna after the discovery of the body of a young girl was found burned in a field near County Road D and County Road 33 in Glenn County.

In the world, 35 million people are living with HIV or AIDS. Most take a myriad of drugs to suppress the disease from wreaking havoc on their immune system.

Loreen Willenberg is one of those 35 million, but in the 23 years since she was diagnosed, she takes no drugs, has no symptoms, and has never been sick.

It was even more dire in unincorporated East Porterville than the last time CBS13 was there. Tulare County buys and trucks in water to refill tanks in people's front yards.

In a sign of increasing desperation, some have resorted to stealing bottled water from their neighbors. A woman CBS13 spoke to says thieves ripped off the water pump she uses to wash her clothes and take showers that was hooked up to her tank.

Thankfully the county replaced it.

The culprit was section 9.04.060 of the Sacramento city code. It outlaws nudity in public parks, playgrounds and beaches, but it leaves out streets and sidewalks.

Under that law, a nude person would be violating the law if they were in Cesar Chavez Park, but technically they wouldn't be if they stepped onto the sidewalk.

After this story aired, the Sacramento City Council changed the rules.

1. Wal-Mart Bottled Water Comes From Sacramento Municipal Supply

According to the label, the water comes from the Sacramento Municipal Water Supply. This comes on the heels of Starbucks opting to move sourcing and production of its Ethos bottled water from California to Pennsylvania.

While the label reads Great Value, the fine print reveals the bottled water is anything but a deal, especially for Sacramento residents in California's devastating drought.
