Women In Davis Attacked By A Man Hiding Behind Bushes

DAVIS (CBS13) – Davis police officers are searching for a man who jumps out of bushes and attacks women.

The same man could be responsible for two attacks on Wednesday evening.

The first attack took place around 6 p.m. on Fifth Street, east of Pole Line Road. A woman was walking on the sidewalk when a man jumped out of the bushes and grabbed her. She pushed the man away and yelled for him to leave her alone. The suspect then stopped and casually walked away.

That victim described her attacker as a white male, approximately 35 years old, with blue eyes, bald, clean shaven and about 5'11" tall with a muscular build. He as wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans.

Around two hours later, another woman was attacked while walking on Drake Drive near Sycamore Lane. A man jumped out of the bushes and attacked the woman, grabbing her leg and buttocks. The suspect again ran away when the woman fought back.

The victim described the suspect as a white male between 30-40 years old, approximately 5'6"-5'8" tall, weighing 170 pounds, skinny, with white thinning/balding hair. The suspect was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue shorts, white tennis shoes, and white socks.
