SUTTER COUNTY – A big rig crash had northbound Highway 99 closed south of Yuba City early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. a little south of the Highway 113 junction and about 15 miles south of Yuba City.

Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but a big rig ended up on its side and across both lanes of traffic – effectively making for a hard closure of northbound Highway 99 for a time.

There didn't appear to be any major injuries in the crash.

Crews had to bring a lift rig to right the trailer. Traffic was diverted for some time.

At least one lane was reopened a little before 6:30 a.m.
