5-story building in Sacramento evacuated after solar panels catch fire
SACRAMENTO – Fire crews evacuated a five-story building after solar panels on the roof caught on fire in Sacramento on Friday afternoon.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the five-story building on the 2400 block of Venture Oaks Way around 1 p.m. on Friday. This is where they found the solar panels on fire.
The smoke plume could be seen from Interstate 5.
No injuries have been reported.
