Suspect Arrested In Roseville After Man Shot In Neck

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Roseville police are investigating a shooting Friday morning after they stopped a speeding car and found a person with a gunshot wound inside.

According to police, officers spotted the speeding car at 5:06 a.m. on Sunrise Boulevard and pulled over the driver.

Officers discovered that one of the passengers, Nicholas Lee Hammer, 22, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was taken to Sutter Roseville Hospital.

After investigating, officers say they determined that Hammer had been shot by the driver of the car, Jackson Robert Gall, 20, who his also his roommate, while the two were inside their apartment.

The two had reportedly been drinking alcohol with friends when Gall shot Hammer once in the neck for unknown reasons. Gall was arrested and booked into the Roseville City Jail on attempted murder charges.

The investigation is ongoing.

Hammer's condition is unknown.
