Report: Jury Duty Glitch Causes Traffic Jam Around Auburn's Historic Courthouse
AUBURN (CBS13) – A glitch in the Placer County jury duty system is being blamed for a massive traffic jam in Old Town Auburn Tuesday morning.
An Auburn newspaper reported at one point traffic was backed up to eastbound Interstate 80 from the Maple Street exit. It was cleared by 10:00 a.m.
The traffic mess and frustration was caused by a computer system used by Placer County that sent as many as 1,200 people to the Auburn Historic Courthouse for jury duty Tuesday morning.
