Police: Man Robs Elderly Woman In Her Stockton Home

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Police say that an elderly woman was robbed by a suspect who broke into her Stockton home.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Stockton Police Department. The woman was in her 2300 block of Lido Circle home when she reportedly heard a loud bang.

The suspect then entered her room and demanded money. She said it was in her wallet, so the man went to grab it and took off.

Investigators are looking into whether the incident is linked to a string of incidents where criminals have targeted elderly women in Stockton. Since October, two women reported that they had been sexually assaulted after their homes had been broken into.

The most-recent incident happened on Nov. 9 along the 2700 block of Pacific Avenue; the other incident happened on Oct. 8 along the 5600 block of Stratford Circle. Both women targeted were over the age of 60 and lived alone.

Anyone with more information on the incidents is asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377.
