1 Dead In Sacramento County Officer-Involved Shooting
10:48 p.m. UPDATE: The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says a man who approached officers with what is described as an edged weapon was shot and killed on Thursday night.
Sheriff's deputies were out on a call in the neighborhood about a domestic dispute at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. A woman was at the home and deputies took her statement. A man connected to the dispute left the home before deputies arrived.
As the deputies were preparing to leave, a 40-year-old Caucasian male who lived at the residence approached them with an edged weapon. One of the two deputies opened fire, killing the man.
The officer who fired the shots is a 14-year veteran who has been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation takes place, as is standard procedure.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — A person shot in an officer-involved shooting on Thursday has died.
Sacramento County Sheriff's investigators say one of their deputies was involved in the shooting.
The incident happened on the 6100 block of Brahms Court.
