Fate Of California Military Museum Artifacts In Sacramento Still Under Review By State Military Reserve

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Veterans are concerned about what will happen to the artifacts at the California Military Museum after its closure.

California National Guard Lt. Col. Peter Cross says they don't know where or when a new museum will open, but that it will be somewhere in California.

He says they want to reassure the veterans that the veterans that the artifacts will be taken care of.

"About 30,000 artifacts were moved out and are now in safekeeping, protected" he said. "The question is, what is our Sacramento presence going to be? That's currently undergoing analysis right now by our state military reserve."

The museum has been closed since March after a disagreement between the military and the group running the museum.
