Cosumnes Fire Department Doing Training Burn On Thursday; Expect Smoke South Of Elk Grove
ELK GROVE (CBS13) — The Cosumnes Fire Department is telling people to not be alarmed if they see smoke in the rural area south of Elk Grove on Thursday.
Firefighters will be doing a woodland training burn for the Cosumnes River College intern class, the department says.
Expect smoke in the area of Bruceville and Lambert roads between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The department says planned burn will provide valuable hands-on training in preparation for fire season.
