Elderly Man Killed While Crossing Street
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Oakland police are looking for a hit-and-run driver after an elderly man was hit and killed by a car as he walked across a street in a crosswalk.
Police say the 91-year-old Oakland man was hit by a four-door sedan on the corner of 14th Street and Market Street around 6:05 a.m. Friday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been released.
Alameda County coroner's officials identified the man as Trieu Thai. He died of multiple blunt-force trauma injuries.
