Crash involving several vehicles slows traffic on Stockton freeway
STOCKTON — A collision involving several vehicles was affecting traffic on Interstate 5 in Stockton Friday afternoon.
It happened shortly after 2:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 at Pershing Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol Stockton said around six vehicles were involved, including a big rig. Minor injuries were reported.
At least one lane was still closed as of 3:30 p.m. Traffic cameras in the area showed vehicles slowly moving through the scene.
The CHP noted that weather was a factor in the crash with drivers not taking wet roads into consideration while traveling through the area.
An atmospheric river arrived mid-week to bring a dumping of snow to the Sierra and heavy rain all across the valley.
