CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — More than 78,000 people are without power, according to SMUD.
The utility says the outage is centered in the Citrus Heights area, with more than 65,000 reportedly without power.
SMUD reports its Orangevale station is offline, knocking out power to 78,000
The cause is under investigation.
SMUD hopes to have the power back on by around 9:30 p.m.
