EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) - An injured climber was rescued after falling in El Dorado County on Tuesday.
The male climber was climbing with a friend in the area of Kyburz and Silver Fork Road when he reportedly fell 100 feet down sharp rocks and received major injuries.
The friend called 911, but due to the remote area where the two were located, a CHP helicopter was called on to assist.

This afternoon, the El Dorado County Fire Department responded for a male who fell while rock climbing near Kyburz and Silver Fork Rd. After the climber fell approximately 100 feet down sharp rocks causing major injuries, his friend called 911. Due to the remote location, CHP helicopter(H-20) was requested to assist. H-20 hoisted the climber, flying him a short distance to El Dorado Medic 17 for additional treatment.
