CHP Officer Finds Homemade Fireworks During Traffic Stop In Downtown Stockton
STOCKTON (CBS13) - One person has been arrested following the reported discovery of illegal fireworks in their vehicle.
Around 10:40 a.m. Thursday, a CHP officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle along Market and San Joaquin streets in Stockton. During the stop, the officer found a box of homemade fireworks in the vehicle, according to a Stockton Police Department spokesperson.
The bomb squad arrived on the scene, and, after clearing the immediate area, rendered the fireworks safe.
The CHP officer arrested the suspect for an outstanding warrant and possession of illegal fireworks.
