Charges Dropped Against Former CHP Officer In Murder Plot
STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) — The Stanislaus County District Attorney dropped charges against a former CHP officer who was accused of taking part in a murder.
Walter Wells was charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice and accessory to murder in connection to the killing of Korey Kauffman.
According to the Modesto Bee, nine people were charged in Kauffman's death, but only one was convicted.
Everyone else was either acquitted or cleared, including Modesto attorney Frank Carson.
