Arno Road Closed After 3 Rescued From Vehicle Stuck On Flooded Road

GALT (CBS13) — Three people were rescued after attempting to drive across a flooded road on Monday.

When their vehicle encountered water in the roadway on Arno Road, the driver decided to try to push through. The vehicle stalled out in the 18 inches of water, and when the passengers didn't feel comfortable trying to get out, they called 911.

Fire rescue crews used a flood boat to approach them and get them away.

The road has been closed until the water recedes.

Fire officials say it's another important reminder not to plow through a flooded road. All it took was 18 inches to stall out this car.
