$8 Million Christmas Lottery Ticket Sold At Treat's General Store

SAN ANDREAS (CBS13) — An $8 million Super Lotto Plus winning ticket on Christmas may be the biggest thing that's happened at Treat's General Store in 160 years.

Fred Lavaroni's family has owned Treat's since it opened.

"I'm actually really happy about it, because it's a small town, economically depressed, who can use the money," he said.

But it's not just the ticket holder who wins—the store will now get $40,000 for selling the lucky ticket. Fred says half of that will be split among the employees.

"They're the ones that do the work," he said.

The mystery winner hasn't come forward yet, but if they decide to take the lump-sum payment, they'll be walking away with more than $4 million in cash.
