3 Children Found Dead With Stab Wounds In Car In Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Three children have been found dead inside a car parked outside an elementary school in South Los Angeles, while a man found with them is in critical condition.
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck says the boys, ages 8 to 12, were found dead Wednesday morning in the back of an SUV, while a man believed to be their father was found bleeding from stab wounds in the front seat. He's in critical condition.
Beck says police believe they have a suspect in custody, but declined to be more specific.
Beck says the crime scene is horrific and that "it is a sad day in L.A."
He says police recovered a knife at the scene.
Police say a passer-by reported finding the people in the SUV.
