Bligh Madris hit his first major league home run and fellow rookie Roansy Contreras pitched five solid innings to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 7-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.
Both rookies were called up from Triple-A Indianapolis earlier in the day and they delivered right away.

He drove in three runs which helped the Pirates beat the Cubs.
The Pirates got their only run on Bryan Reynolds' homer against Mychal Givens in the eighth.
