CHARLESTON (KDKA) - New research shows that our friends in Mountaineer State are among the best in the nation for first-time homebuyers.
Evolving Home says that residents in West Virginia have the lowest debt-to-income ratio anywhere in the United States.
With a 30-year mortgage on a 4.25-percent interest rate, costing around $5,300 per year in repayments, that works out to less than six percent of an average couple's annual salary in West Virginia.
