Office Of National Drug Control Policy Designates Westmoreland County 'High-Intensity' Drug Trafficking Area

WASHINGTON (KDKA) - The Office of National Drug Control Policy has designated Westmoreland County as a "high-intensity" drug trafficking area.

The designation means that the county will receive federal funding to combat drug trafficking and abuse.

According to the federal government, drug dealers use the turnpike, Route 30, and other highways through the county to deliver their products.
