Two Vehicle Accident Kills One, Closes Route 217
DERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A two-vehicle accident in Derry Township killed one person and closed Route 217, according to dispatchers.
The victim was 23-year-old Brittany Lash of Blairsville and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 33-year-old man was also injured and hospitalized.
The crash occurred around 7:18 a.m. Saturday near Pizza Barn Road. The roadway is still closed, and the coroner is still at the scene as of 8:10 this morning.
