Sculptural Playground Adds Artistic Touch To Aspinwall Park
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It's a day many children are eagerly awaiting.
A new sculpture playground is slated to open at Aspinwall Riverfront Playground on Sept. 20.
The playground is a massive bronze sculpture designed by New York Artist Tom Otterness.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to celebrate completion on the property, which also features walking trails and an amphitheater. It's happening Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is just the first stage in the park development.
Attention will now focus on river access and a welcome area.
