Talor Battle Within Reach Of Another Milestone
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - After reaching the 2,000 point milestone earlier this month in a win against Northwestern, Penn State's Talor Battle is within reach of another milestone.
Battle needs just three assists to become the first Big Ten player and just the 10th in Division I history to have 2,000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists in his collegiate career.
The last player to reach the impressive trifecta was Maryland's Greivis Vasquez last year.
Battle will have a chance to reach that milestone when the Nittany Lions (14-12, 7-8 Big Ten) take on Northwestern, Thursday night on the road.
Battle leads the team in points per game this season with 20.8 points. Battle is also averaging 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
